South Coast wine tours cover one of the most understated wine regions in the state: the Shoalhaven Coast, around two hours south of Sydney, where the vineyards run almost to the sand. Berry, Gerringong, Shoalhaven Heads and Kiama pack boutique cellar doors, craft breweries, headland views and some of the best beaches in NSW into one compact, ridiculously scenic strip.
Here is the honest bit, and the reason our South Coast day looks different to our Hunter Valley wine tours. This region does not have a long list of wineries that can genuinely host a group. After years of running this coastline, we stopped pretending otherwise and engineered one signature day that actually works: a boutique winery with a proper seated tasting, a craft brewery we would drink at on our day off, lawn bowls on the coast, and a wine and tapas session at an oasis with ocean views. Every venue on the run welcomes groups, every tasting is pre-arranged and included, and the day flows.

Ten years of running tours up and down this coast and Stoic Brewing is still our favourite brewery on the South Coast, hands down. An independent craft brewery in Gerringong pouring the kind of beers that convert wine drinkers, with a relaxed, welcoming taproom that genuinely loves hosting groups.
It is the brewery stop on our signature tour for a reason. Beer lovers grab a tasting paddle and work through the range, wine loyalists swap it for two wines by the glass, and everyone leaves planning their next visit.
