Sydney Bucks Party

Breweries, the harbour, karting and a driver who gets every last man home. You pick the shape of the day. We book the venues, build the run sheet and drive the crew, right across Sydney, the Hunter Valley, Newcastle, Wollongong, the Southern Highlands, Canberra and the Gold Coast.

Real crew, real bus. The pink dress was not our idea.

A Sydney bucks party lives or dies on the logistics, and the best man is usually the one who cops it.

Someone has to ring the breweries, work out who is driving, chase eleven blokes for money and keep the group moving between venues forty minutes apart. That someone is normally the mate who least wants to spend his Saturday on the phone.

We have been running bucks days out of Sydney since 2016. You pick the region and the shape of the day, we do the rest: venues booked in your group's name, tastings pre-paid, a run sheet with real times on it, and a driver who waits at every stop instead of clock watching.

Everyone drinks, nobody drives, and the whole crew arrives together instead of trickling in across two hours.

What to actually do

Six ways to run a Sydney bucks party.

Every one of these is a day we already run. Mix them, or hand us the date and we will build it around the buck.

The classic Bucks party group at a Sydney brewery with beers lined along the bar

Inner West brewery crawl

Three or four taprooms around Marrickville, four tastings at every stop, and a behind-the-scenes welcome the public does not get. Swap one for Archie Rose if the group would rather drink gin.

Sydney Harbour Bucks party group on the foredeck of a private yacht charter on Sydney Harbour

Private boat on the harbour

Your own skippered boat, your playlist, and a swim stop at Store Beach. The one people still talk about years later. Pair it with a bus to a taproom afterwards.

Something competitive Go karts on the track during a Sydney bucks party activity day

Karting or axe throwing

Drop something competitive into the middle of the day and the whole thing lifts. Karting, axe throwing or an escape room, booked and timed around your venues.

Low key Barefoot lawn bowls green in Sydney set up for a bucks party group

Golf or barefoot bowls

Not every bucks wants a twelve hour session. Barefoot bowls or nine holes, a long lunch, a couple of taprooms on the way home, everyone still standing at the end.

Charter only Urban Legends Mercedes Sprinter parked at an aviation museum on a NSW group charter

Just need the bus

Venues already sorted and you only want the transport? Fine. LED lighting, your playlist on Bluetooth, 14 to 57 seats, and a driver who waits at every stop instead of clock watching.

How the day actually runs

Three Sydney bucks run sheets we already drive.

Pick one as it stands, or use it as a starting point and we will move the pieces around. Times below are indicative. Your real run sheet is built around your pickup address and the venues you choose.

Straight answers

Sydney bucks party FAQ.

How many people do we need for a Sydney bucks party?

Most bucks days run from about ten guests up. Smaller groups are welcome, you just take the whole 14-seater at the vehicle rate rather than paying per head. Above 41 guests we run two vehicles together on one run sheet so the group stays together all day.

How much does a Sydney bucks party bus cost?

Charter is priced per vehicle for the day, not per head, so the bigger the group the less it costs each. The price depends on the vehicle size, how many hours you need it and whether the day falls on a Saturday, a Sunday or a public holiday. Send us the date, the headcount and a rough shape of the day and you will get a written quote with three vehicle options on it.

Can we drink on the bus?

On a package tour, no. Every venue is a licensed stop and the drinking happens there. On a pure charter, where you have booked your own venues and only want the transport, BYO can be approved in writing before the day. Just ask when you book rather than on the morning.

Do the buses have toilets?

No vehicle in our fleet has an onboard toilet. It is the single most common question we get, so we build every run sheet around it. Stops are spaced so the group is never more than about an hour from facilities, and the driver will pull over if it is needed.

Do you book the venues, or do we?

We do. We hold direct booking relationships with the breweries, distilleries and activity venues on the run sheet, so your group is expected, the bookings sit in your name and there is no standing around waiting for a table. You tell us the shape of the day you want and we make the calls.

Can we add karting, a boat or barefoot bowls?

Yes, and most groups do. Go karting, axe throwing, an escape room, barefoot bowls, nine holes or a private boat on the harbour all slot into the middle of a day. Tell us which one and we will book it and build the timings around it so nothing runs late.

Where in Sydney do you pick up from?

Anywhere in the metro area, door to door. The eastern suburbs, the inner west, the north shore, the northern beaches, the Hills, the Shire and western Sydney are all standard. If the group is spread out we will usually suggest one or two collection points rather than eleven separate stops.

How far ahead should we book a Sydney bucks party?

For a Saturday in spring or summer, six to eight weeks is sensible, and the good venues book out first. Midweek and winter dates are far easier and we have turned bucks parties around inside a week. Ask either way and we will tell you honestly what is left.

What is the deposit and the cancellation policy?

A $200 deposit holds the date, with the balance due seven days before the tour. Cancel 14 or more days out for a full refund, 7 to 13 days out for 50 per cent. Inside 7 days is non-refundable. Date changes 7 or more days out are free, subject to availability.

Beyond Sydney

Bucks parties up and down the east coast.

Plenty of Sydney groups head out of town for the weekend, and we run the same day in seven other regions. Pick where you want to be and we will get the crew there.

Let us take it off your plate

Tell us the date and the headcount.

That is genuinely all we need to start. We will come back with a written quote, three vehicle options and a suggested run sheet you can argue about with the group chat.

Ten years

Running groups out of Sydney since 2016, more than 1,000 tours in.

Own fleet

Modern vehicles we own and maintain, not a broker's spare bus.

Real drivers

Professional, punctual, and they know every stop on the run sheet.

Good vibes only

Guaranteed. It is the whole reason the company exists.

Door to door

Where we pick up across Sydney.

Your address to your address. If the group is spread across the city we will usually suggest one or two collection points rather than eleven separate stops, and the run sheet is built around whichever you pick.

Standard pickup areas for a Sydney bucks party:

Inner West Sydney CBD Eastern Suburbs North Shore Northern Beaches The Hills Sutherland Shire Western Sydney Parramatta Macarthur

Outside these areas is usually still fine, it just gets priced with a positioning allowance. Ask and we will tell you straight.

The stops we actually use, and why.

Ten years of Sydney coach work teaches you which pickup points work and which ones get a driver moved on. This is the part you cannot get off a map.

Untimed coach stop

Gibbons St, Redfern

Beside Redfern station, opposite the Gibbons St cafe. Free, easy to find and, unusually for Sydney, untimed. That last part matters: most city coach stops move you on, so a stop with no time limit is the difference between a relaxed load and a driver circling the block. It is our first suggestion whenever a group is spread across the inner city.

CBD hotels

Lime St bays, King St Wharf

The bus loading bays on Lime St are our regular CBD pickup for hotel and corporate runs. Handy if the group is staying in the city and wants to start the day on the water.

Coach bays

Central Station, western concourse

The western concourse coach bays are a standard pickup for our festival and event runs. Sensible if half the group is arriving by train rather than from home.

Free coach parking

Garden Island, Woolloomooloo

We found the free coach parking here while running the US Navy during a USS Fitzgerald visit. It makes harbour-side jobs far easier to time, because the bus can wait nearby instead of leaving and coming back.
